The Solar Team
These three have been running a TV spot here in Phoenix. First time I've ever seen energy make it onto a TV spot as a local issue.

The SOLAR TEAM of SAM GEORGE, SANDRA KENNEDY, AND PAUL NEWMAN share a vision that clean energy can end foreign reliance on oil, provide reliable energy, and create a sustainable economy.

The SOLAR TEAM will fight for SOLAR ENERGY INDEPENDENCE. Solar energy can power Arizona and the nation. Solar energy will fight climate and generate thousands of green jobs in Arizona.

(...)

The SOLAR TEAM of SAM GEORGE, SANDRA KENNEDY, and PAUL NEWMAN will achieve a Democratic majority on the Corporation Commission – ending 16 years of One Party rule. Single Party Republican rule has kept us paying higher utility rates and has stopped significant clean energy generation. We must restore checks and balances on the Corporation Commission to protect Arizona consumers.

Please support their candidacies and vote for the SOLAR TEAM. Remember, it takes THREE to achieve a winning majority.

1. I've been listening to their radio spots on KPHX
It's an interesting political concept.

A team with a unified goal actually trying to HELP their community instead of just being corporate enablers.

2. The thing that struck me is that they've got a one-issue campaign...
And the issue is Solar. Well, I guess they're also pitching "break the Republican majority." But the "solar team" thing is what they give the repetition to. It was almost like one of those "head on!" commercials.

I'm curious to see how well they do with that. They must think it's going to resonate.
