Links needed: Co-worker contends most oil and lumber requests stopped by env. groups? |
|
I know this isn't true, it is an exaggeration. But it would be great to find some actual statistics. I know that there have been a fair number of proposed logging and drilling locations stopped over the years, but I am sure it is overall a small percentage compared to what has been released. Any good sites with info that folks here know about?
Thanks!

The person who made the assertion is the one who has to provide documenting evidence. Otherwise, you get to call it bullshit.
Tell your coworker to put up or shut up.

2. Bingo. He that asserts, must prove. |

Otherwise, it's just a made-up talking point.
I always ask where the person read what they are espousing. Usually it's bullshit spewed by some right wingnut on the radio.
I usually laugh in their face at that.
