VeraSun Energy files for bankruptcy
VeraSun Energy files for bankruptcy

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- VeraSun Energy Corp., the nation's second largest ethanol producer accounting for about 13 percent of U.S. capacity, said late Friday it is seeking Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection after skyrocketing corn costs and a deterioration in capital markets left the company short on cash.

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

2. making food into gas...
yeah that makes a lot of sense. the really bad bad part is now with gas prices going down and the short memory people have combined with this will only convinced the Palin's of the world that there is no reason to try to reduce oil dependence.

4. That's common here in Southwestern Virginia
The mega profit machines come in, destroy and destruct, make a bank load of money, then file for bankruptcy to avoid any environmental issues they leave behind. http://www.wisecountyissues.com
