So I'm planning another wild/local/homegrown/organic Thanksgiving

Local:

Organic turkey (20 lbs), maine organic wheat flour (for pies and bread for stuffing), organic milk, local butter, eggs and cheese, cured (not smoked) bacon (for baked beans)

Organic Homegrown:

Squash, potatoes, (super sweet) corn, peas, broccoli, onions, sparkling hard cider (yum), sweet cider, pumpkins, blueberries, apples - tomatoes and horseradish for cocktail sauce, yellow-eyed beans

Wild:

fiddleheads, cranberries, blueberries, Maine shrimp, Maine sea salt

Nonlocal but organic:

Pie spices, black pepper, sweet potatoes, coconut, walnuts, evaporated cane juice (sugar), lemons and oranges, molasses, dry mustard

Nonorganic:

Bell's "All Natural" Poultry Seasoning (can't substitute for the best!), Allen's Coffee Brandy :evilgrin:, lard

4. I used to think "organic lard" was an oxymoron
but it does exist...in the shadowy world of the lard underground...
