Excellent video, David Suzuki on environmental crisis, global warming.
His energy and conviction and intelligence make this compelling. Well worth watching.

I wonder how long it will take for people to want to work together to save stuff like coral reefs and the old mountains we're blowing up. When the typical fat consumer realizes why that stuff matters it will be too late.

3. How long will it take?
Edited on Mon Nov-10-08 10:16 AM by GliderGuider
Forever, if the desired outcome is a planetary ecology that looks about the same in a hundred years as it does today. As long as we remain attached to that particular outcome we will suffer more and more as it proves unachievable.

If we commit ourselves to the journey rather than the goal, however, we will find our path paved with success rather than failure, happiness rather than misery, peace rather than suffering -- no matter where it takes us.

We must start the journey from where and who we are, and we must go forward rather than either trying to go back or clinging to the moment.
