Panning Global Warming by 'The Mighty Pen' cartoonist in my local paper, today
Couple seated on a couch. She is tearing pps from a book and he is tossing them in the fireplace.

“The book on global warming makes some valuable contributions. Hand me some more pages. I can feel the warmth already”.

Feb 2nd, 2009 – It was 82 degrees F on my back patio in Yuma – a good 10 to 15 degrees above normal for this date. What will the temp be six months from now in mid summer???

3. WE are used to high summer temps up to 120 degrees in the desert SW
but not with the high humidity factor from the glacial melt that is coming down the California current and drifting eastward across the desert. Last summer we had temps of 110 to 115 degrees with 60 to 70 % humidity and no rainfall to at least briefly cool us down.

Normal Max: 58

Normal Min: 37

Record Max: 74 (2005)

Today's High: 73

We might get a storm later in the week that might bring up to a half-inch of rain. :eyes:

And the real kicker is the precipitation totals: the average precipitation since July should be 18.5 inches, and we're at 8.4.

Precipitation since the first of the year should be 6.9 inches, and we're at 0.9. :wow:
