Eleven Cool Cars for a Renewable Energy Future
Cool article highlighting some of the latest technologies in the automobile industry:

In his 2003 State of the Union address, George Bush said “that the first car driven by a child born today could be powered by hydrogen, and pollution-free.” Electric vehicle advocate Paul Scott replied that if battery electric technology had been fully exploited for transportation, the first car driven by a child born during the Civil war would have been powered by a battery. Touché!

So let’s see what cars are hot today and give us some clue as to the cars we and our progeny are actually going to be driving in years to come.

1. I love the idea.... and if they can get them going, it won't be long before we can have
these electric vehicles at better prices for the rest of us. But it isn't going to work as well if there isn't something that someone with a family of five can use. And I can hear it now.... like the crash tests with the smart car and the smaller cars trying to scare folks away from them.... But at least we are finally heading in the right direction. Had they actually been serious about this, maybe the american cars could have been at the forefront of this movement. What do you think of when you think of hybrid... prius. And I think we could do SO much better!! I so want us to get away from petroleum all together if we can.
