The home that was built in a day
Telegraph UK

As a British expat used to the curmudgeonliness of French officialdom, property writer Catharine Higginson was swept off her feet by the efficiency of a German construction company that promised - and delivered - a home in seven hours.

Hanse Haus site:

The scarcity of fossil fuels, high energy prices, and increased CO2 emissions leading to climate change - all of these factors place an increasingly heavy burden on the homeowner. Many of us live in old, outdated homes with poorly insulated walls, windows and roofs and outdated inefficient heating systems.

The primary goal of Hanse Haus buildings is to provide as much energy as possible without placing unnecessary strain on the world’s natural resources and its the environment. We achieve this through avoiding excessive energy losses and the use of technologically advanced intelligent energy-saving heating systems.

2. Habitat for Humanity: 3 hours 26 minutes
http://www.habitat.org/newsroom/2002archive/insitedoc002185.aspx. It's amazing what they can do. It includes quick drying cement and everything. I haven't watched this one but watched a video of another. I thought they must start with a slab or not have one, but the 3+ hours starts with dirt.

3. From the article:
"In preparation for the build, Habitat volunteers, including The Young Contractors Forum of the Associated General Contractors of Alabama, put the foundation in place and constructed prefabricated wall panels for the site."

foundation in place....still a fantastic achievement by a wonderful organization

5. Great concept. Now in the comments- what is this chem trail BS?
I saw something about some guy in Belgium going on about it the other day too. I thought this went out of fashion in the 1980's when Mexico was accusing the US of stealing rain.

6. That's amazing!
If it is possible to build a home within 24 hours, we can easily solve the homelessness problem within the next year.

Why isn't there a public housing program that can take advantage of this type of construction?

7. And how would the homeless pay for these homes?
Actual living spaces are not America's Homeless problem.
It's the cost of homes.
