Are the Sumatran Tiger, the Orangatan and Sumatran Rhino all extinct yet, or is the German palm oil for Mercedes program lagging...???

I heard all about this program back in 2006 in a thread here called http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=115x60306">Indonesia to spend a massive US$ 22 billion by 2010 to promote biofuels.

The per capita income of Indonesia is http://www.antara.co.id/en/view/?i=1234925666&c=BIZ&s=">US$2,271.

The entire gross national product of Indonesia is about $450 billion dollars, meaning that Indonesia must have just spent the equivalent of 5% of its annual GDP for a promotion.

But it's worth it I think, when one considers how cool it is to drive biofueled cars at 150 kph on the Autobahn.
