Potty-trained pigs cut water use/pollution. |
|
Why did no one think of this before? We know pigs are smart!
Brilliant!
Now let's see if greedy U.S. corporate/factory farms will follow suit. I'll betcha they'll kick and scream if anyone tries to make them!

1. Just show them how it increases their bottom line |
|
and they will do it.
Of course they are probably getting free or heavily subsidized water so showing them that might be difficult.

You know it, they're smarties! <3 That one's beautiful.
If the monkeys have to keep eating them they can at least do it without polluting everything.

3. where does all the litter go? |
|
+ why can't dogs be trained? not that you'd want dog poo indoors.

4. The referenced Earth Times article goes into that. |

As for why dogs can't be trained... I'm a cat person, so have no idea. :D

The pigs we raised on the farm would always establish a "crap corner" within a few days of moving them to a new pen. It did cut down on the amount of straw needed, and made cleaning out the pens much easier. Of course, we weren't factory farmers and didn't keep them packed in like sardines all day long either.
