Has Anyone heard about the West Antarctic Ice Sheet?

Has Anyone heard about the West Antarctic Ice Sheet?
We are in the two weeks following the first day of fall in the Southern Hemisphere. These are the days the ice sheets around Antarctica are at their smallest, in extent and depth. If the West Antarctic Ice Sheet (WAIS) does ever collapse it will be sometime between March 15 and April 15th (With the greatest threat from the first day of Autumn in the Southern Hemisphere from March 21s till April 1st). I have NOT read anything on the WEST ANTARCTIC ICE SHEET (WAIS), has anyone?
