'(Coal) Black Is The New Green' - You Might Think He is Kidding BUT He is Not!!!
WINDOW ROCK – Peabody Energy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Gregory H. Boyce testified Wednesday before a federal committee that carbon technologies now under development are changing the color of coal, placing the nation on a path to achieve the ultimate green goal of near-zero emissions.

“Black is the new green,” Boyce told the Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming, chaired by Rep. Edward J. Markey, D-Mass.

2. It's the same load they've been shoveling for the last 100 years.
Leaving aside the fact that it can't be done economically, or on a large enough scale to make a meaningful difference, let's not forget that there's still no clean way to mine coal. Or will Peabody commit to not buy from mines that engage in polluting and destructive practices like mountaintop removal and longwall mining?

And if coal is so clean today then why did Peabody just finish their new gigantic, polluting Prairie State coal plant without carbon capture technology? Put your money where your mouth is, hypocrites.
