I remain completely cynical when it comes to carbon credits... quite torn though at the same time.

1. it's a scam...
the only people it will benefit is the same swindlers who brought us the economic meltdown. this is NOT a good idea. it will lead to higher energy prices which of course will be borne by the middle class.
checkout who's pushing this idiocy.

2. Credits for emissions worked for reducing acid rain pollution.

Worked faster and cheaper than projected.

Still if given the choice I would prefer a flat tax on carbon. Far cheaper and simpler.
