Finally some good news for America's clean energy economy:


President Obama has signed a Presidential Memorandum on fuel efficiency standards today, as his effort to improve the fuel economy of America's vehicles and reduce their greenhouse gas emissions continues.

This Presidential Memorandum directs the Department of Transportation and the Environmental Protection Agency to develop a national fuel standard for large, heavy-duty trucks. This would be the first national standard of its kind in the United States.
