2. yay! a working link. thanks! the BP & another I tried didn't work. What is very interesting is |
|
that the running total of gallons of oil is very amazing to adjust - because you know by watching that oil come out, that it is coming out at more than 1 gallon a second as BP/NOAA suggests, and is more likely to be 10-15 gallons a second, which means somewhere around 35-50 millions of oil are floating around in the Gulf! sickening.... literally.

I emailed my contact at the joint command center an hour ago to ask about that time stamp - b/c you're not crazy it says that it is currently 9am or so in the morning on the video. But it is being headlined on PBS and NPR and Huffington, so I posted it. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/05/26/bp-oil-spill-live-feed-vi_n_590635.htmlhttp://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=127130592http://www.pbs.org/newshour/rundown/horizon-oil-spill.html?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=fanpage&utm_campaign=pbsWill let you know what I hear back.

The new media liaison at the joint operations center confirmed that this video is live, he is looking into the "interesting question" of the time stamp.

BP is now saying that the NPR/PBS feed is not live. I don't know what the heck is going on now. They say this feed is definitely live: http://www.bp.com/liveassets/bp_internet/globalbp/globalbp_uk_english/homepage/STAGING/local_assets/bp_homepage/html/rov_stream.html
