Stockholm Environment Institute Outlines Plan to Cut UK's Transportation Emissions by 76%
I am not sure how willing people would be to adopt these recommendations.

A new report from the Stockholm Environment Institute devises a plan to cut United Kingdom's transportation emissions by 76% by 2050.

The report, entitled Towards a Zero Carbon Vision for UK Transport , says solutions to mitigate the emissions produced by the UK's transport industry require a paradigm shift in thinking.

2. Links through to the original article + report
More information (vs the tweet-level summary) is in

+ link to the PDF (1.6Mb) of the report:

Mind you, given that it recommends things like "Full conversion of all cars
to Plug In Electric Vehicles or Hydrogen Fuel Cells utilising de-carbonised
electricity" and relies upon fairy-dust solutions for the latter ("fossil fuel
combustion with carbon capture and storage"), I'm really not holding my breath
for its implementation.

Still, it gives a nice, fluffy, smiley face dream to counter the nasty, greedy,
out of control reality that we have to live with every day so I suppose it has
its uses ...

(PS: I see what you mean about the "traffic photo" D_P! )
