Global Solar Looks to Answer Solar Dilemma with Stick-On Solar Panels
How viable do you think this technological development is?

Global Solar Energy Inc. -- known for its CIGS thin-film solar cells -- hopes to bypass cumbersome infrastructure with its new stick-on solar panels.

Stick-on solar panels? Yes, I did just say that. The company claims their new PowerFlex BIPV modules can be adhered directly onto a roof or built into roofing materials. In theory, this would remove the need for the heavy-duty racking systems often needed to support the glass-covered panels.

1. Impressive.
I can't wait until the cost structure comes down to the point where people will be able to replace roofing shingles with something that can pay for itself.

2. That is really awesome
No idea about the viability but it would be great if they work.

3. If ALL VEHICLES used solar to help charge the battery, I imagine
several million barrels of oil could be spared each week.

5. I was just wondering where the bi-weekly "solar roofing material" press release was

Glad to see it came on time.
