I purchased a set of "green" tires. They are made in Finland. Eco friendly. |

The brand is Nokian and the tire was the eNTYRE. They are made with oils that do not polute as the tire wears and they have very good rolling resistance to provide better mileage. They reduce your carbon foot print.
Reviews are very favorable compared to other brands.
Nokian makes lots of winter tires but now the also make all year tires for the US market too.

1. Cool. Michelin makes a "Green X" tire, too. I don't know about the oils, though. |

They claim they use a special formula that is cleaner, but I don't know the details.
Mostly with Michelin it means better rolling resistance and wear in comparison to other tires. Lower rolling resistance combined with better traction reduces gas consumption.
Michelin uses that construction on a couple of tires--Energy Saver and Hydro Edge, I know, but I don't know the others. They are very good performance tires, too.
I just tried to find how the Nokians compare to that, but couldn't. Good to see that green technology is becoming a marketing bonus worldwide.
