1,000's of 40 - 50 lb red drum.... attacked by SHARKS
Fascinating predator/prey event. I have seen bluefish corral herring and menhaden, but not such a group of big fish like the drum.

From the link: (Photos taken in July)

"A flying buddy sent this over. It was taken a mile off the beach somewhere between Nags Head and Duck last week from a helicopter.

His exact quote was " Been seeing several schools like this for the last couple of weeks. 40-50 lb drum being munched on by much bigger sharks!

2. A fisherman could make a fortune by using sharks like sheepdogs.

Wonder if anyone's ever tried that? Care and handling might be a bit more difficult than with a Collie.

How does drum taste? Don't think I've ever eaten red drum. Sharks sure seem to like it.

3. Ever had Blackened Redfish?
Same thing. Paul Prudhomme's original recipe called for redfish because it was cheap and plentiful.
