Now being served in Japan - - - Whale Burgers!
McMoby Dick or, for those who know the book, McBoris are now on the menu at fast food restaurants in Japan.....what part of "research" is this exactly????

TOKYO (AFP) - A Japanese fast food chain said it would sell 200 whale burgers a day to meet strong demand from its customers amid global criticism over the country's bid to expand whaling.

Burger chain Lucky Pierrot, which runs 10 shops in the northern island of Hokkaido, said the burger using minke whales caught under Japan's controversial "research" whaling program was selling like hotcakes.

"We fry minke whale meat and the burger really tastes like beef," manager Miku Oh said.

3. Isn't Japan still banning U.S. beef

due to Mad Cow fears?
I know they are one of the countries that imports U.S. horsemeat. Apparently they'll eat just about anything besides beef.

4. I'm not racist, but the Japanese fishing industry is mining our ocean life
into extinction. They have absolutely no concern about plundering the ocean into a lifeless void. Their advocacy for hunting whales is atroicious and an affront to humanity. Then the food chain collapse along with civilization.

PS - I know that the US also plunders the seas; witness the death of cannery row in Monterey after they fished out sardines; now they are plundering sea Urchins for export to Japn as well as squid. Rapacious bastards. Europe has also overfished their oceans; their boats must travel as far as Africa in order to catch anything. The implementation of GPS and highly sophisticated sonar allows the Atlantic fleet to directly cast longlines in the breeding grounds of swordfish, which used to be secret until these technological terrors were implemented. We have so fucked our oceans. Dead zones in the Gulf from fertilizer runoff, oil spills from the coountless rigs - which leads to all the mercury present in Gulf fish. Very depressing.
