Constellation partner EDF wants to go forward with third Calvert Cliffs reactor
Edited on Mon Oct-18-10 06:55 PM by Confusious
In a letter Wednesday, its partner, EDF, the world's largest nuclear plant operator, said it was "ready to commit further resources" to the Calvert Cliffs project and to "shoulder 100 percent of the risk and burden until construction begins."

It may, at some point in the future, ask for the loan guarantees.

1. Regrettably, EDF will need to partner with some Americans, because of of US regulatory law.
However every nuclear reactor is a very good long term investment, since when amortized they are all cash cows.

The problem is that most people think short term, which may be happy face for the disgusting airheads who run things in modern times but will be the object of much contempt on the part of future generations.

My father's generation built the Oyster Creek Nuclear Reactor, and I consider it to have been a great gift to my generation.

Very few people in this generation give a rat's ass about the children however.
