A question for John the ethanol man.
Edited on Sat Oct-30-10 03:13 PM by kristopher
I know you endorse ethanol for personal transport, and you know I do not so let's leave that discussion aside.

I was wondering if there is any research you know of that involves the use of ethanol as a fuel for dispatchable electric generation to replace the natural gas niche in a renewable grid? One source of renewable fuel for such use will be methane derived from biologic waste streams** but it occurred to me that I've never seen this role examined for ethanol in the academic literature.

Do you know of anyone that has looked at the question?
