I would just like to say... |

we're getting cooked down here in AZ. Climate change? Hard to say, but we've been breaking records. It's been 115 several days in a row.
Mostly, it's just aggravating me, and adding to the electricity bill.

I seem to remember reading that it can get surprisingly hot up there in the summer, since the sun spends to much time above the horizon.

6. It's not any better in WI |

Averaging around 90 degrees for 10+ days with no rain for the last month. It is expected to remain hot and dry through the foreseeable future.
The continuous 100+ degree days was one of the main reasons I left Arizona five years ago.

9. Somewhat unusual, although not wildly. |
|
The historic average temperature for the month of July is 104, so far the average for this particular july has been 111. The nighttime lows are off-kilter too. We've been having nighttime lows around 90-92. Historic lows are more like 78 (on average).
It's almost as if something is trapping heat. Like, oh, I don't know... A greenhouse. Yeah, that's it. A greenhouse.

I think we should start building underground. Thermal ballast. Dig your house instead of putting it up.

10. That would make perfect sense. |

the Phoenix valley ought to look like the Skywalker summer home on Tattooine.
Instead, we build 99% of our homes without even a basement. I really miss having a basement.
