Officials: Small Level Of Radioactive Iodine Found In Japanese Water

Tokyo) -- Japanese officials have found small levels of radioactive iodine in tap water near Tokyo. The levels are well below the limits set in place.

Meantime, the International Atomic Energy Agency says Japan is considering stopping the sale of food products from the Fukushima prefecture. Earlier reports said the decision had been made to halt selling food from the area.

Tests had detected radiation above the national safety level in spinach and milk produce near the crippled nuclear power facility.

Engineers report some progress in stabilizing the damaged nuclear reactors at Fukushima.
