The Hummer H2 Fuel Tank holds 32 gallons. It gets 9.6 mpg. |

That would be, at $4.00/gallon, $120 to drive 300 miles. They may be rich, but fools and their money are soon parted. http://trucks.about.com/cs/suvreviews/a/hummer_fuel04.htm

1. We should go to gas stations and prevent vehicles like that |
|
from filling up, by whatever means necessary.

3. I was just at a liquor store |
|
getting my rum for my vanilla pepsi for later on, and an employee of a major beer company was there. He was saying, "I know where our money is going." to the owner. He was so pissed because the owner had just bought a hummer.

Although I don't drive, and thankfully can take public transportation, I look forward to the day, when, as a passenger, I see the sight of a Hummer owner with a sign: "Hummers for Oil".
These same fucks oppose every single initiative for mass transit that comes up. They even hate bus stops in their neighborhoods. They deserve to be stranded in the middle of nowhere.

5. In real terms, a fill-up by a Hummer is taking away the gas that could |
|
have been sold to at least two compact or mid-size cars with 25-28 mph with 8-10 gallon capacity.

6. A Hummer can go about 307 miles on 32 gallons at 9.6 mpg |
|
My scooter can go about 3300 miles on the same amount of gas (at 105 mpg).
A Hummer has a top *legal* speed of 65 mph. My scooter's top 'sane' speed is about 55 mph.
That's a lot to pay for an extra 10 mph.

10. I am willing to bet... |
|
that when they first bought there H2s, they thought they would be envied by the masses because of their new toy.
If gas prices stay this high, and there are shortages, they will be too embarrassed to drive that monstrosity due to belligerent looks, the cost, and people talking why anyone would be so stupid as to drive something like that.

"I really think it is appropriate to regard Hummer drivers with distain. Social disapproval is a powerful thing."
Right on, bro! I could be wrong, but I believe most Hummer owners bought the vehicle because they thought they would be the envy of society, and everyone would look at them and admire their new toy...oh, the irony if gas prices stay this high (hehehehehehehehe)
