One of the three projects intended to trial is the Pelamis P750, shown here being deployed. Eventually up to ten of these devices will generate electricity from wave-induced motion and connect to the Wave Hub.

2. I seriously doubt they would attempt to work in a Force 9 Gale

and accompanying seas...
