Gold giant calls "glaciers" just "ice masses" in Chile
Chile authorizes Barrick gold mining project

SANTIAGO, Chile — The Chilean government on Wednesday authorized Toronto-based Barrick Gold Corp.'s (TSX: ABX) proposal for a $1.5-billion (U.S.), open-pit gold mine in the Andes mountains that is opposed by environmentalists.

But it prohibited the relocation of three mountain glaciers included in the plan, authorities said.

The proposed relocation of part of the glaciers by Barrick had triggered a strong opposition to the project by environmental groups in Chile and abroad.

Environmental groups argued the project would damage the ecosystem in the fertile Huasco Valley, especially because of the glacier relocation.

Barrick had insisted that it would protect the environment in the area and that what Chilean officials call "glaciers" are actually just "ice masses."

Remember, this company is tight with the Bush cabal. Daddy Bush got a seat on their board after he got out of the White House.

2. Barrick is filthy rich, they can do anything! Just watch!
they are sucking out the aquifer in Elko/Eureka Counties at a most incredible rate for dewatering so they can grab all the gold out of the ground that they can. They are amazing!

3. I still cannot believe that America has not risen up and hanged 'em
the whole administration.

They're not just criminal - they are the highest level of crimes against all humanity.

And it's SO FUCKING OBVIOUS! And has been since the Reagan administration! For fuck's sake, I was high school/college under Reagan, and even in my naive state I could PLAINLY - PLAINLY - see that reagan and bush were nothing but world-destroying criminals.

Not being able to see the criminal bullshit is like being pecked in the eye by a woodpecker for 5 years and still saying "No bird around here!"
