Yeah, I'm sure he'll get RIGHT to the bottom of that one.

The president's science adviser told U.S. Rep. David Wu this week that he would look into the government's suspension of funding for an Oregon State University study that undercut the Bush administration's stance on logging after wildfires.
John Marburger, science adviser to the president and director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy, on Tuesday said he would report back to Congress on the OSU case and other allegations Wu raised that the administration had interfered in science for political reasons. Wu, a Portland Democrat, called the OSU episode "truly, truly troubling" during a Wednesday meeting of the House Committee on Science, where Marburger testified.
The U.S. Bureau of Land Management suspended funding for the study after scientists from OSU's College of Forestry and the U.S. Forest Service reported that logging sets back recovery of burned forests. The scientists had studied lands burned by the 2002 Biscuit Fire and published their results in the journal Science. The BLM said the scientists' mention of a congressional bill that would speed logging of burned forests appeared to violate rules against lobbying, and said they had failed to notify the BLM before publishing their results. But lawmakers criticized the move, and the BLM quickly restored the money after about a week.
Wu said the BLM had acted "based on trumped-up charges." He said that though the funds have been reinstated, the effects linger. "The chilling effect of the BLM action continues to reverberate in the academic community," Wu told Marburger.
Marburger told Wu he was not aware of the OSU case. He denied attempts by the administration to censor science.EDIT/Emphasis added
Yeah, whatever, asshole.
