Slippery Rock, Pine look windward (PV and wind)
http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/06050/656610.stm

Slippery Rock University and Pine hope the answer to high energy prices may be blowing in the wind.

The state university and the north suburban municipality both have projects in the works to harness wind power to meet some of their electricity needs.

Slippery Rock has received a $27,500 grant from the state Energy Development Authority to pay half the costs for a hybrid solar- and wind-energy system. The combination of solar panels and wind turbine will provide a minimum of 3,600 kilowatts of power annually to several structures at the school's Robert A. Macoskey Center for Sustainable Systems Education and Research.

The project marks Slippery Rock's first major effort into alternative energy production and use.
