New Jersey governmental panel recommends off shore wind pilot.
The article is in today's Trenton Times which is not available on line.

NJ announced today that it would like to build windmills off the coast of New Jersey to evaluate the environmental impact.

The commission making the recommendation was put together by Former Governor Richard Codey (a popular fellow).

The first windmills could come on line as early as next year.

This should help us reduce our natural gas requirement here.

2. I'm all for it!
I've seen the wind farms in California, and even larger ones (AFAIK, anyway) in the west of Ireland. The latter were really beautiful, and efficient to boot. Even my friend who's into mountain hiking and has problems with cutting into nature for roads and spoiling the view, appreciated the look of the wind farms and what they contribute to lower polluting power generation.
