Today, going over my Fischer-Tropsch nightmare, a nightmare that is translating into reality, I came across a "peak oiling" document known as the Hirsch Report which extols the virtues of Fischer Tropsch chemistry.

My personal abhorrence for this type of "oil fetish" thinking notwithstanding, I came across an interesting locution placed along side NIMBY, the familiar "not in my backyard." It was BANANA "Build absolutely nothing anywhere near anything."

Here, by the way, is the Hirsch report: http://www.oilcrash.com/articles/hirsch.htm

It's pretty typical of conservative thinking but the locution, which is new to me, was certainly interesting.
