This is Just WRONG! EIA scraping "Foreign Crude Oil Acquisition Report"!!!

July 2006 is that last one due to budget cuts and the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (Section 3507(h)(1) of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (Pub. L. No. 104–13, 44 U.S.C. Chapter 35).

Maybe I'm wrong about this, but I don't see anywhere, in this posting to the Federal Register, that says that this this report is being replaced by anything, they are just going to stop collecting this vital data to "save money and paperwork." (Federal Register / Vol. 71, No. 56 / Thursday, March 23, 2006 / Notices)

Heck, why would we need a "Monthly Foreign Crude Oil Acquisition Report" anyway? If we don't know where all that Foreign Crude Oil is coming from, then our increasing dependence on Imported Oil isn't a problem anymore, RIGHT? :sarcasm:

Someone who knows the Oil industry better than me PLEASE tell me I'm wrong on this one, because if I'm right, THIS IS INSANE!!! :crazy: :nuke:
