action needed on Climate Stewardship Act

Liebermann and McCain are introducing their "Climate Stewardship Act" again. Time to call your Senators to support this bill that would help protect the security of our children by slowing the growth of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases in out atmosphere.

The bill would cap US greenhouse emissions from power plants and industry at year 2000 levels. It will cost an average of $20 per household to implement it (maybe even less, if new technologies are developed). This is a first step towards stabilizing greenhouse gases. I hope greenhouse gases will be stabilized before they reach a dangerous level.

While you are at it, ask them to filibuster the energy bill.

Has anyone seen any good articles on these bills lately?

I think I am going to fax a copy of the Scientific American article to a certain Senator from my state who is supposedly a pro-environment Republican but he is really a Neanderthal on the science.
