Texas Landowners Protest Superhighway Plan
POSTED: 3:43 pm CDT September 30, 2006
UPDATED: 3:52 pm CDT September 30, 2006

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Protestors turned out across the state Saturday to voice their concerns about the multi-billion dollar Trans-Texas corridor.

The 4,000-mile highway is being developed, in part, to relieve traffic on Interstate 35.

The corridor would be three times wider than the average highway, wide enough for cars, trucks and trains. It would also be used as a route for utility lines ..

1. An ad is blocking part of the article.
Is going to be part of the Ports to Plains highway going from Mexico to Canada? There is talk of it going through eastern Colorado.

This may also be part of the secret agreement being negotiated between the U.S., Canada and Mexico to open the borders to enhance trade. The whole thing is completely antithetical to any of the anti immigration/secure the borders talk going on now by members of Congress. I mean really....what is all of this about? Does George want to secure the borders or open them even wider as was reported earlier this week?
