I desperately need some help with some research.
I'm compiling a list of some of the emerging start-up companies that are working on devices or products that could help to fight global warming. How can I find these interesting small (or large) companies and what they are doing? If you know any, list them for me please. If you know of a website or an organization with this info, please share it. It would so greatly appreciated, it's for a very good cause.
Thanks.

Note: I posted this in GD as well as here. I hope it's okay to do that.

4. http://www.treehugger.com is a good place to begin...

But where you'll really get results is here:

http://del.icio.us

It's social bookmarking, and it's super-cool. Just do a search on 'global warming' and 'commerce' and you're well on your way.

5. Many of these companies are small and open only to venture capitalists, but..
Acta is a company planning to build ethanol based hydrogen fuel cells] YOu can buy shares through the AIM exchange in LOndon.

also, check out VRB Power. This is Canadian company building vanadium redux batteries which will likely be used as power storage for wind farms in the future.

General Electric - is building all the wind turbines it can. Demand for this product is going to grow dramatically into the future as world-wide demand continues to outstrip production capacity.

United Technologies is already building ethanol based hydrogen fuel cells for the Spanish Navy.

That's a start.
