3. The SST is no big deal. The critical data are the ANOMALIES.
This is the time of year when the Northern Hemisphere warms up, so most of the temperature maps will show big changes over a week or two.

The map of seawater surface anomalies is the one that we should keep an eye on. That's the map of how much the SST values differ from the historical average. They have been running high for several years.
