KMT chairman says he was unaware of Zanadau kickbacks

As he took the witness stand, Lien told the court he had no knowledge about the dirty money that was put toward his 2000 presidential bid

The words "I don't know" made up the bulk of Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) Chairman Lien Chan's (??) answers to a series of questions yesterday when he appeared in court as a witness in the Zanadau Development Corp corruption trial.
"I felt good to serve as a witness. It is a citizen's obligation," Lien told reporters after the court session.
