Health workers take a hike - SA
Edited on Wed Sep-03-03 07:48 PM by dArKeR
More than half of South Africa's health workers plan to leave the country - and it's not about the money.

A World Health Organisation (WHO) report released on Wednesday claimed that 58% of health workers wanted to leave South Africa, mostly because of crime, violence, heavy workloads, deterioration of the health system and a need to gain experience.

Thirty eight percent of the health workers polled said crime and violence played a role in their plans to move overseas.
