ENGLISH football fans vowed last night to travel to Turkey despite a warning from Sven Goran Eriksson to stay away.
The England coach fears supporters could be killed if they turn up in Istanbul for the vital Euro 2004 qualifier on October 11.
Football Association chiefs have stopped fans buying tickets through official channels by refusing to take up their allocation from the Turkish FA.
And Eriksson told them: "You can risk being hurt. You can risk your life, which happened with Leeds in Turkey. If the security men say it's a problem you should listen to them."
Leeds fans Kevin Speight and Christopher Loftus were murdered before their team played Istanbul side Galatasaray in April 2000.
