Kenyan official assassinated in Nairobi
A senior official in Kenya's constitutional review conference was shot dead in Nairobi at the weekend, police said on Monday.

"Yes, it's true," police spokesperson King'ori Mwangi said when asked about reports of the murder of Odhiambo Mbai.

The spokesperson confirmed that Mbai, a Nairobi University law lecturer, was shot three times on Sunday by three men who burst into his home. He died after being admitted to one of the city's main hospitals.
