Canadian sentenced for arms smuggling
Manheim, Germany — A Russian-born Canadian man was sentenced to nearly three years in prison Friday for illegally shipping thousands of weapons to Jordan from eastern Europe.

Arthur Andersen, 42, confessed Monday in court to selling armaments to the Jordanian government, but insisted that he had done nothing wrong.

Judge Brigitte Schwan ruled, however, that he did not have a license to sell the weapons, which came from Russian and Ukrainian dealers and included 20 combat helicopters, firing mechanisms for anti-tank missiles and hand grenades.

This is just to keep the Lockheed, FMC, Boeing, GE... sales agents from losing their commissions.
