'Report-a-mistress' campaign fares well - PI
Manila - A citizens' anti-corruption watchdog has launched a "report-a-mistress" campaign in the Philippines as part of efforts to end corrupt practices of government officials and employees, officials said on Friday.

The Citizens' Battle Against Corruption (CIBAC) said the campaign encourages people who have information about illicit affairs of cabinet members, legislators, police and military officers and other government officials to file a report.

CIBAC, which is also a registered party in the House of Representatives, said it has so far received 500 telephone calls, emails and cellular phone text messages reporting alleged mistresses of government officials.

1. Mistresses report selves
The mistresses have found refuge in the “Report-a-Mistress” campaign of the partylist Citizens’ Battle Against Corruption (Cibac).

Cibac Rep. Kim Bernardo-Lokin revealed that the group was surprised to find out that most of the 500 complaints it got were from the “lovers” themselves of erring public officials.

“Surprisingly, most of the complaints we have came from the mistresses themselves. And many of them claimed to have been abandoned by ‘boyfriends’ in exchange for someone else,” Lokin said in a telephone interview. She could not give exact statistics, however, of how many complaints had come from the so-called third parties.
