NYT: Bush Iraq election policy to be downward trend in Force levels
And the New York Times notes that Bush plan for Iraq PR is to show a TREND DOWNWARD IN FORCE LEVELS for the election: "The plan would draw down total American forces in Iraq to about 105,000 troops from 130,000 in the midst of next year's presidential election campaign."

1. Right, and increased casualties
...leading to a return to the draft, something that is already in the works, with the bureaucracy being established right now.

Of course, they'll have to find a way to exempt the rich and make it sound pious, the way college deferments once did. Those deferments allowed the children of the rich and upper middle class to enter the services as officers and gentlemen, no grunt work or risk to life for them!

The silliest part of the proposal is that they think they're going to draft women. Yeah, right. Spend your prime childbearing years in the military, that makes a lot of sense.

<plop, plop> There go the lead balloons
