We overdid it, says Angola
'A mob of furious civilians'

At the end of January, DRC human rights organisation Voice of the Voiceless (VSV) denounced what it called "barbaric acts" committed against nationals accused of illegal diamond trafficking in Angola's central Bie province.

It also denounced the expulsion of the traffickers from Angola.

The expulsion were carried out by the Angolan Armed Forces and the police "with the support of a mob of furious civilians who can no longer stand the presence of Congolese in their country", said the VSV.
