STAFF REPORTER
Thursday, Apr 08, 2004,Page 4

Lu Hsiu-yen, Chinese Nationalist Party legislator

Former National Security Bureau (NSB) director-general Tsai Tsao-ming (???) responded to the shooting of President Chen Shui-bian (???) and Vice President Annette Lu (???) by quickly contacting the US military's Pacific command in Hawaii, an NSB official said yesterday.

"While on his way to Tainan to handle the shooting incident, Tsai made calls using a satellite phone to the Pacific command of the US military," NSB special services center deputy commander Major General Chiu Chung-nan (???) said at the legislature yesterday.
