Swazis stunned as investor pulls plug
The Swazi business community, charitable organisations and government were caught off guard when one of the country's oldest and biggest investors angrily aborted a major poverty alleviation fund and announced he would no longer invest in the country.

Entrepreneur and investor Natie Kirsh, in announcing that he was pulling out of the country, said: "No investor will come to Swaziland so long as the the rule of law is not restored, because no investor will be foolish enough to invest where there is no good governance."

Members of parliament were invited to the launch, but decided to stay in session to debate the government budget.

MPs were angered when informed that Kirsh was waiting for them. MP Maria Ntshangase said: "The budget is the most important business we are supposed to do. If this man cannot be patient and wait for us then he can do as he pleases.
