Kavaz center on Caucasus: Russian defense minister went to play war games
Some interesting bits.

...
I'm already tired of writing that in any normal country ministers are forced to resign for pulling jokes like that. Voluntarily or not, but they do resign. A real war is raging in the North Caucasus. Units of the Chechen Resistance, which is now associated with the All-Caucasus Resistance more and more, are storming Russian military bases, annihilating headquarters of Ingushetian pro-Moscow police and defeating positions of Russian border guards stationed in Nazran, Ingushetia. They are shooting pro-Russian government ministers and prosecutors, they are taking highways of statewide importance and controlling half of the Republic virtually throughout the whole night, and our warmongers cannot come up with anything better than go somewhere far away to the other end of the country to play toy soldiers and fight with 'dummy adversary'!

And he doesn?t even feel ashamed about it! This same character (Defense Minister!) is not ashamed a bit to appear on the news program and be smiling and telling about a training interaction of different branches of troops during an exercise battle with a 'large gang formation'. And where was it? Way out there, in the Russian Far East. In the right place and at the right time! And this is normal. Information agencies have been reporting this 'news' along with the results of the night battle. Poor country if it has such defense ministers and such commanders-in-chief.
...

whole thing
