Question about the draft
I'm puzzled by this talk of reinstating the draft...
I went to Congress.org to see who sponsored S 89 and
HR 163, and discovered a slew of Dem sponsors.
No Repubs, just Dems. This has me puzzled. Why just Dems?

1. I know Rangel did it to make a point.
Only the poor are serving and dying in Iraq.

He wanted to see a little more fairness about who is called to serve in the military.

2. Ahhhh, ok....
I get the picture. Thank you Muriel.

3. But be aware

that Rangel's bill does not need to pass for the draft to be reinstated.

The current draft can be reactivated.
