Church clearing Mozambique of landmines
Mozambique's bitter harvest continues.

Sandrah Phasha, 43, will never forget the day her child was killed by an anti-personnel mine. The explosion, which ripped off her left arm five years ago, has left the Mozambican mother of six physically and mentally scarred.

Loud noises of car doors banging shut make her jump as she stands behind her curio store, nervously talking to me.

She smiles and then laughs when I ask her how her life has been changed.

"I am lucky. I can still walk, talk and watch the sun rise every morning. There are many around here who have no legs, eyes or who are dead because of landmines buried in our farm fields," she says.
