what will people let them do for the "sake of national security?" |
|
Well the patriot act has been passed so they can already legally butt into our lives.....which makes me wonder what else will people do for the sake of national security? It scares me when i think about all the advances in technology in relationship to our freedoms. There are so many ways that the government can track what we say and do. and it scares me that if Bush is re-elected what will become illegal for us to say. and how things like cellphones with GPS, DSL internet with webcams, and GPS chips in new cars will effect this. Comcast has a function where you can literally talk to your televison to change the channels and what not. Really cute..really convienent. But also really dangerous especially if it becomes virtually illegal to speak out what is goin on in this government because of possiblity of "terrorist tendencies." I think that those of us who hold really extremist views need to be careful. sometimes i feel overly paraniod but my gut level instinct tells me that even though "big brother" has been watching for a long time...that the government will start being more intrusive. I feel a sense of freedom driving down the road in my 79 chevy silverado and knowing i can say anything about the governemnt and not worry about someone spying on me. its very liberating. but anyways....... what do you think the government/big business is going to market to try to invade our privacies more...if not for the sake of convience or entertainment but for the sake of national security? v-chips, soliders in homes? share your thoughts and how you protect yourself from "big brother" watching you.
